Northwest fastest growing region in Arkansas

The most dynamic, fastest-growing region of Arkansas is in the northwestern part of the state. The main cities in this area are Rogers, Bentonville, Springdale, Bella Vista, Eureka Springs and Fayetteville, the home of the University of Arkansas. This area is deep in the Ozark Mountains and features beautiful natural vistas, glistening lakes and streams, as well as great economic growth. Many national magazines have selected the Fayetteville-Bentonville area as one of the top growth retirement destinations over the next two decades.

Heard of Bentonville, but don’t recall why? You probably have seen a Wal-Mart tractor trailer carrying merchandise along the interstate. Their headquarters of the USA’s largest business enterprise is prominent on each truck. Wal-Mart’s success has brought many new firms and employees to the once rural, isolated region. One of America’s largest chicken processors, Tyson Foods, is also located in this region.

Despite the presence of Arkansas’ largest university in the area (and the liberal thoughts that generally come with a university), the Northwestern part of Arkansas is relatively undiscovered on the national stage. This area votes predominately Republican and still offers strong family values, a sense of community and a simple way of life.
