Northeast Florida features diversity

In the upper NE corner of Florida are some of the most diverse towns and communities in the state.

First, you will find the “New South” city of Jacksonville, home to the NFL’s Jaguars and a popular business metropolitan area.

The coastal areas of this section of Florida can variously be described as interesting, historic, ritzy, pristine, bohemian and a golf-lover’s paradise.

Jacksonville is one of the fastest growing cities in the South with its 20 miles of soft, white beaches and over 50 golf courses.

Amelia Island is considered a wonderful retirement destination and is characterized by a resort, quiet ocean lifestyle.

Fernandina Beach has an incredible historic district and a classic seaport.

Ponte Vedra Beach, just north of St. Augustine Beach, has a number of upscale golf and tennis resorts. St. Augustine is in the nation’s oldest continuously-occupied European city. The historic district features shops, restaurants and interesting architecture along stone-cobbled lanes. There are 24 miles of wide St. Augustine beaches to play on.
