Knoxville highlights eastern region

Knoxville is the smallest of the three main cities in Tennessee, but is ringed with the Mountain ranges of the Smoky Mountains. While UT sporting events draw some of the largest crowds of any collegiate event in the country, there is much more to this region than the university. Near Knoxville is the resort vacation town of Gatlinburg with its many attractions. Up the interstate a few miles is Pigeon Forge, home of Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s amusement part and performing arts destination.

In Knoxville, you can also count on a reasonable cost of living and medical expertise through the UT Medical School. For entertainment, there are also many cultural events, a nice downtown area and many eclectic clubs and restaurants for you to choose from.
